Breast cancer is a dangerous disease that can have an
impact on mortality. The disease is not just attacking the weaker sex, but can
also occur in men.
The occurrence of cancer is due to uncontrolled growth of breast cells. This cancer develops from mutations of genes that are responsible for maintaining cell growth. In general, the human body's cells to change on a regular basis in the process of cell growth, in which cells that died were replaced with new cells. However, when mutations occur in cells that triggers certain genes and other genes to kill, what happens is the growth of new cells is uncontrolled and form tumors.

If the tumor appears benign, then what happens is that cell growth is slow and does not invade other tissues. Benign tumors do not spread to other body parts. It is fatal if the developing world is a malignant tumor that can "invade" other parts of the body if allowed to remain. Breast cancer usually arises from the cells of the mammary gland lobules or ducts that drain milk. While cancers that arise from the stromal tissue rather rare.
Kamker cells can invade surrounding healthy tissue. Then these cells are also capable of attacking to the lymph nodes (lymph nodes). This gland plays an important role in keeping the body from the entry of foreign substances in the body. With the entry of cancer cells into the lymph nodes then the potential for the development of malignant cells from this cancer to other parts of the body.
Here is a stage breast cancer:
- Stage 0
Cancer cells exist in the breast line, without invading into the surrounding tissue
- Stage I
Cancers measuring 2 cm or less in the breast
- Stage IIA
No cancers were found in the breast, but cancer cells are found in the axillary lymph nodes (lymph glands / lymph nodes under the armpit). Or tumor size 2 cm or smaller and has spread in the axillary lymph nodes. Or tumors larger than 2 cm and less than 5 centimeters but has not spread to lymph nodes / lymph
- Stage IIB
Tumors larger than 2 cm but less than 5 cm, and has spread in lymph nodes / lymph nodes. Or tumors larger than 5 centimeters but has not spread to the axillary lymph nodes.
- Stage IIIA
No tumors were detected in the breast. Cancer is found in axillary lymph nodes are attached together or on other structures or cancer may be found in the lymph nodes gentah near the breastbone. Or whatever the size of the tumor, the cancer has spread to axillary lymph nodes are attached together or in other structures.
- Stage III B
Tumors can be any size and has spread to the chest wall and / or breast skin, and may have spread to axillary lymph nodes are clumped together or sticking to other structures, or cancer may have spread near the breastbone.
- Stage IIIC
There are also other possible signs of breast cancer, or tumors can be any size and may have spread to the chest wall and / or breast skin. And the cancer has spread to lymph nodes either above or below the collarbone. And cancer may have spread to lymph nodes near the breastbone.
- Stage IV
The cancer has spread or metastasized to other parts of the body.
